In the Field: Gear, Guides, and Reviews
As a landscape and astrophotographer based in the Pacific Northwest, my gear takes a beating. From the freezing, salt-heavy winds of the Oregon Coast to the dusty, sub-freezing nights in the high desert, I need tools that simply work so I can focus on the light.
Everything on this page is gear I personally own, use, and trust in the field to capture the fine art prints you see in the main gallery. If it doesn't survive the PNW, it doesn't make the list.

It helps keep the Canby studio running, the camera batteries charged, and the coffee brewing. Thank you for the support!
